CAT is an entrance test for mba/pgdm admissions only. If you wish to get admission in IIMs, you need 98 or more percentile in it.

MAT is an mba entrance exam to get admission into mba/pgdm inside the country while GMAT is an mba entrance test to get admission abroad.
The validity of MAT score card is 1 year while the validity of GMAT score card is 5 years.The minimum eligibility criteria for GMAT is 50% in graduation with no age bar while there is no such criteria in MAT. you need a bachelor's degree.

In a year 3 times MAT is conducted. Final year students means that graduation final year students can also apply for the entrance exam.
