As per the last year, the cut-off was around 5000 AIR in BK. So I would say the chances are 70% this year. Baroda FMS's cutoff is the second highest after BKSBM in Gujarat. So if you miss BK by some numbers, you'll definitely get in FMS Baroda.

As of today, any kind of gap in education or your career, has to be justified. You have not mentioned the reason for the gap. You can definitely look at taking time off, to prepare for the CAT exam and ensure that you score a minimum of 99 percentile. You have to necessarily target the top 30 B Schools in India.
