Yes, you can prepare for the CAT indirectly in your second year. Since it usually takes 3-6 months to prepare properly for the exam, the third year would be more ideal to start your preparations in full swing. Good luck.

Yes, you can surely appear for the CAT exam, as long as you have a score of at least 50% marks in your graduation. Good luck with the preparation.

A score of about 99.7 percentile and above in the CAT should be safe enough to get a call from IIM-Ahmedabad for its full-time MBA program. Good luck.
