Going for MBA can have two directions, one you can pursue MBA as a fresher and work or two you gain some work experience and later, figure out what to do. If you want to go the first way, I believe you should appear for CAT 19/20, and check what is your current status compared to other aspirants around the country. It will give you a rough idea of where you stand. You have around 5 months which is good enough for you to prepare. If it doesn't work, you can get some experience a year or two and then try for CAT once simultaneously. So basically its a question you need to ask yourself. For that, you need to score at least 80percentile to get a call from IIMA. For MANAGE, it all depends on cumulative scoring. Yours marks till now are good, and being from Agriculture course, you have high chance of getting a call. Yes, confirming a seat will be easy for those with 80percentile above in CAT. So study smart, score your best in CAT2019 to take admission in the batch of 2020-22

MBA entrance exams happen between November to January & 3 to 4 months sincere preparation is enough. So, you should start preparation while you are in your 5th semester. Joining coaching center also helps, as they guide you on the question pattern and also help you sharpen some techniques of solving mental ability questions.

Do attend the GD/PI of CUSAT, after which the final rank list will be published. Admissions will be based on that final rank list. School of Management Studies, CUSAT is a much reputed institution in Kerala. All the best.

Hello! I assume you meant 2019. Yes, some colleges accept May MAT scores for the admissions to their full-time MBA programs. Score well in it. Good luck!
