That is a hard question actually. Usually students who do engineering either go for marketing or operations mostly but the important thing is you should choose the specialisation that suits you the best, which is easier for you to learn and which helps you for your career in the future. Understand what is taught in all the specialisations and then make a decision.

Both fields are good. It depends on your interest on where do you want to go in future. The background is also very important while choosing the field, if you are from IT field, and very much interested in your subject, then you should choose IT.
