To pursue MBA at GIET University, Gunupur, one needs to have:
- A passed Bachelor's degree of a minimum 3 years duration
- Obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying Examination (45% marks only in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)
- Rank obtained in GIETEE/CMAT/MAT/ CAT/XAT/OJEE shall be considered as well. - 50% of seats are already reserved for OJEE counseling and the rest 50% are filled through GIETEE Exam.

For admissions to M. B.A. Programmes, candidates need to appear for the entrance exam: ITM- National Entrance and Scholarship Test ITM NEST or CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ MAT. So NEST is not compulsory.
