Please refer to top B-Schools in India for pursuing MBA: https://www.shiksha.com/mba/ranking/top-mba-colleges-india/2-2-0-0-0. IIM Ahmadabad, Bangalore Calcutta, Lucknow and Indore and best options and all provide boarding and lodging facilities for their students.

It is neither renowned nor does have all set of necessary Accreditation required for top B-Schools, so not recommended as per my insight. Go with top 50 B-Schools only.

You can try for NIT. There are very few government colleges, which accept MAT score. You can also go for PUMBA. If you can write TANCET, then PSGIM would cost you Rs.4 lakhs.

Past academic records does not affect your placement at all.
You need your past record just to take admission in B-schools.
Placement depends only on your performance during MBA.

Truthfully, both the courses are similar. The only difference is MBA in FM will be more focused on finance right from the first semester compared to the regular course. Placements are the same.

It depends on your skills and knowledge. You must develop a dynamic profile over the next few years (while studying) so that when you appear for the interview, employers are impressed by your profile. An average MBA in IB graduate earns a package between 5-8 LPA.
