Yes, NEET UG is compulsory for MBBS admission in Telangana. No college, government or private, can admit students without a valid NEET score. Candidates must also register for KNRUHS counselling. Skipping NEET makes a student ineligible for any MBBS seat in the state.

With 218 marks in NEET, you have very low chances of getting admission in a government seat through the CAP quota. The cut-off marks for government medical colleges in Telangana are significantly higher, especially for the open category; you might have a better chance of admission in a private medical college depending on the category you belong to. You can use various college-predicting tools also to get information regarding the expected private institutes you can get with this score.
