Private colleges are more expensive for pursuing medical degrees in India. There are two governmrent medical colleges near Mangalore offer MBBBS at an affordable cost.

KMC Mangalore which has a long history of excellence where the fee is about INR 78 lakh approximately for the whole duration of the MBBS. The other medical college is Yenepoya University which is not quite affordable as it charges about INR 22 Lakh per year for the MBBS course.

The latest cutoff could be 400 + score. It is better to aim for 450 because of the high competition. The cutoff increases on yearly basis. For example last year that is in 2023 the cutoff was 350 + score. It is better to keep higher margin.

To have a better shot at BVMC MBBS in Pune, a NEET score ranging from 600 to 650 and above is often considered competitive. A good performance in the NEET examination is essential for acquiring admission into any medical school in India, including BVMC.

In the year of 2023, the general category cut-off rank for NEET UG first round was around 325,219.

This range of scores indicates that the student has a good understanding of the tested subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) for NEET exams. It shows that one has thoroughly understood what he/she has been taught throughout high school life.

Admission in the MBBS programme at BVMC, Pune is very competitive. It depends on :

-UG Score: The admission depends on your performance in NEET. You must score highly as it has become a competitive environment.

-Merit-Based Selection: At BVMC, merit-based selection is implemented which means better scores will increase your chances of being accepted more.

-Seats and Reservations: Seats are limited and there are reservations for various categories that may influence your chance.

However, with hardwork, preparation & a high NEET score, getting into BVMC is quite possible and can certainly improve your odds greatly.
