For some courses, students are chosen based on their NEET scores; however, for other courses, they must take the university's entrance exam. The National Testing Agency will administer NEET (UG) to applicants for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes. Counselling will be conducted based on NEET merit by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. Your NEET score will be the determining factor of getting a seat in KLE University. So far no other entrance exams are said to be conducted by the University regarding MBBS.

The NEET cut off score is the minimum score a candidate must have in order to qualify the medical entrance test. The NEET admission cut-off is the final score at which an applicant will be admitted, whereas the NEET qualifying score is the minimal score a candidate needs to receive in order to pass the test. For the years 2021, 2022, and 2023, the NEET last round closing ranks cutoffs are 98525, 90533, and 28095, in that order. The cutoff for the Karnataka NEET Last Round Closing Rank (General-All India) in 2022 is 31987. The NEET cut off scores will be a consideration to get into KLE University.
