According to NIRF ranking 2024, Kasturba Medical College Mangalore is the only MBBS college in Mangalore ranked "33" by government of India. In the 'Medical' category, Kasturba Medical College ranked in the top 50 in the country for the second consecutive year in 2024.

Selection depend on rank rather than number .compition is increased in recent years and it was observed that at 300 marks no government medical are alloted .
But it may be possible if you have reservation or Physical disability certificate.

In first total tuition fee, hostel and electricity, is Rs 18300 for 1st year this includes security money as well .
For female candidates tuition fee will be zero .they have 100% scholarship in tuition fee. They have to pay approximately 12300 in first year.
