Typically, the following documents will be required during the application process for MBBS at IPGMER.

1. NEET-UG documents :-

NEET-UG scorecard: This is a copy of the result or scorecard of NEET-UG, showing your rank and marks obtained.
NEET-UG admit card: Original admit card issued by the NTA for the NEET-UG exam.
Class 10th Marksheets: As proof of the date of birth.
Class 12th Marksheets: Marksheets of your 12th-grade exams that have the required percentage (50% for general category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Category Certificate (if applicable): Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates from competent authority.
Domicile Certificate: In case you are applying for state quota seats, you may need to produce domicile certificate of West Bengal for state-based reservation.
Passport-size Photographs: Current passport size photographs as specified in the form application.
Aadhar Card (or some other valid identity proof): For identification verification.
Medical Certificate: Medical certificates must be produced in some cases (when any health conditions), along with the other paperwork.
Income Certificate (if applicable): All those under special category benefits must upload the income certificate.
2. Counseling Documents:
Counseling Allotment Letter: Issued after counseling which shows confirmation of seat allocation.
Transfer Certificate: In case you were studying previously in some other school.

Migration Certificate: For those candidates who are migrating from other universities and boards.

The steps toward getting an entry in the MBBS programme at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) are as mentioned below:

Eligibility :-

- A person must pass 10+2 from a recognised institution, with the first three subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- The candidate has to appear for NEET-UG exam (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses).
Qualify NEET-UG:

You should qualify for the NEET-UG with a competitive rank. Admission for MBBS is done on the basis of NEET-UG scores in IPGMER.
Counseling :-

As soon as the results of NEET-UG are out, one has to participate in the counseling process organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) or the relevant state authority for seats under the state quota. For All India quota seats, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) does the same.

Document Verification :-

After selection, you need to complete and verify documents such as NEET scorecard, 12th-grade mark sheet, caste certificate (if applicable), and other required documents for verification.

Admission :-

Post successful counseling and document verification, one can complete his/her admission formalities and join the MBBS program. Thus, keep checking the official website of IPGMER and the WBJEEB for updates about the counseling process and admission schedule.
