Presidency college offers MCA programme in affiliation with Bangalore University. Candidates, who want to pursue the course must have passed a BCA or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or any other equivalent degree or candidates, who have passed graduation in BSc, BCom, BA with mathematics at Class 12 level or at graduation level. Candidates must have scored 50% (45% for candidates from reserved category). Further, admission to this PG programme is based on candidates score in KMAT.

DY Patil Institute of Management offers a full-time two year MCA course. The basic eligibility criteria for MCA is to graduate from a recognised university with valid scores. The eligibility criteria for MBA at D. Y. Patil Institute of Master of Computer Applications and Management, Akurdi are a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The final year students can also apply provisionally with the condition of passing in their qualifying examination with the required percentage. Aspirants need to complete Bachelor (3 years)/ master degree examination of any recognised education body in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) or should have secured at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) in Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ Computer Applications/ Electronics as a subject in Class 12 or at degree level to apply for AIMS Institutes MCA programme.

Candidates seeking admission to Anna University MCA course must have passed a Bachelor's degree of a minimum 3 years duration in BCA, BSc (Information Technology /Computer Science), Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved category).
