IT industry is in slow decline phase because of outcry against outsourcing in Western countries and increasing restrictions on working visas, therefore, days ahead for IT professionals will be tough. But it still a good option for bright professionals. The shelf life of IT Technologies is 18 months. After BCA, which is an Undergraduate course, graduates may take up government jobs that require a graduation degree (for example- Armed Forces, nationalised banks, PSUs etc).

The duration of MCA course is three academic years. It is a full-time postgraduate course offered by many colleges/Universities situated in India.
