Yes, you can do MCA from distance learning universities. The duration will be 3 years. Many universities provide MCA via distance like Amity Distance Learning University, Mewar Distance Learning University and Suresh Gyan Vihar Distance Learning University.

MCA is definitely better than Diploma in computer science as MCA is a post-graduation degree with better job prospects and industry value.

The CMAT is mandatory to give only if you're interested to take admission in a management college anywhere in India. It's not used for MCA admissions.
