Many institutions offer online MDP Courses. Mostly offered for working professionals. These use virtual classes, recorded sessions, case studies, simulations and group activities via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or custom LMS systems. Online MDPs offer the same level of faculty expertise and certification though they may lack some of the on-campus networking and experiential learning components.

MDP and MBA/PGDM  serve different purposes. MDPs are  skill-focused short-term Courses. They are designed for working professionals who already have industry experience and want to enhance specific managerial skills.

On the other hand MBA/PGDM programmes are long-term academic courses which spans 1–2 years. These Courses offer in-depth knowledge across all management disciplines. They are suited for fresh graduates or early-career professionals seeking foundational management education or a career switch. In short, an MDP is for continuing professional development while MBA is a full-fledged academic qualification.
