MDP and MBA/PGDM serve different purposes. MDPs are skill-focused short-term Courses. They are designed for working professionals who already have industry experience and want to enhance specific managerial skills.
On the other hand MBA/PGDM programmes are long-term academic courses which spans 1–2 years. These Courses offer in-depth knowledge across all management disciplines. They are suited for fresh graduates or early-career professionals seeking foundational management education or a career switch. In short, an MDP is for continuing professional development while MBA is a full-fledged academic qualification.
