As of now, it's not required. It's just needed to study medicine in India. To get admission in other countries, they have their own norms.

Yes, 12th score does matter if you have to appear for the NEET exam. Minimum Marks to apply for the NEET exam: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks (GEN), 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC), 45% marks (GEN PH) & 40% marks (SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH) taken together in PCB subjects.

Admission Process:
Admission is done through state-level counselling for filling 85% of total seats and remaining 15% seats will be filled through All India centralized counselling based on the rank obtained in NEET.
Along with qualifying in the NEET, a candidate should also need a minimum of 50% in class 12th exams with mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology/ Biotechnology.

Hi Tehmina, NEET exam is not required for B.Sc. and M.Sc. The college or university for whichever you go, they'll give you admission based on your class 12th%. .

Hi Neha,
In NEET's form, if its asked percentage then put as numbers. For example, if you have 90% in in 12th, then put 90%. You have to fill the percentage in numbers not as words.

Admission to private colleges:
All the private medical colleges in India will accept only & only NEET scores from this year itself. They cant conduct their own entrance exams, neither they will be able to take admission via their own entrance exams (if they conducted it before SC order). All private medical colleges will open registration to apply for medical seats basis on all India Rank published by NEET
Basis on student applications, college will list out cut-offs or student list who have been accepted. Regards.

Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 40% marks (SC). If you have a 40% aggregate in class 12, you should be eligible to appear for the NEET. In your PCM you are not eligible as your aggregate is below 40%. Also, please mention your marks in english or maths as these marks will also be counted towards your aggregate. Subjects: Candidates must pass the above qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English. Regards.

The minimum eligibiltiy requirement mandates that the applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination. Eligibility criteria for the NEET 2018:
Class XII is the basic qualifying exam, but the qualifying marks differ according to the candidates category. The following persons are eligible to give the exam:
Students who have passed the class XII qualifying exam. Students who are appearing for the class XII qualifying exam. Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as their subjects in Class XII. All applicants must have obtained the necessary aggregate marks in the qualifying exam:
