Ideally it is recommended that a candidate should score between 518 to 450 NEET marks for seeking admission to MBBS institutes in the state of Karnataka. Government colleges generally accept students with a good cutoff score as competition is high there.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) releases the cutoff for Karnataka NEET counselling for government and private colleges for the year 2025 for Round-1 counselling. 9,133 MBBS and 2,619 BDS seats and 150 seats of St. John's Medical College in the state will be allotted through the Karnataka NEET admission 2025.

Applicants must take the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG in order to be admitted to the MD Pediatrics program.
Obtain the requisite cutoff percentile on the NEET-PG.
Hold a Medical Council of India-issued MBBS degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate score of 55%.
Complete a one-year internship by March 31 or April 31 of the application year.Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be admitted to the MD in Pediatrics program: 
Have a 55% aggregate score on your MBBS from a recognised university.
Attend the NEET PG Medical test and get the requisite cutoff percentage.

The NEET cut-off for BDS in 2023 for the general category is expected to be 366 marks out of 720. This corresponds to the 50th percentile. 
 
The cut-off marks for BDS in 2022 were: 
 
  • 720-138 for general and unreserved categories
  • 137-108 for SC/ST/OBC category applicants
  • 137-108 for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) students
The cut-off scores for BDS in 2023 are: 
 
  • General category: 567-687
  • SC category: 446-661
  • ST category: 422-624
  • General – PH: 720-147
  • SC/ST/OBC – PH: 146-113
A score ranging between 450-500 in NEET is considered a safe score for BDS admission in a government college.
