For MBBS and MD-MS courses, Candidates are selected on the basis of NEET score card. Selections to UG and PG Pharmacy courses are done on the basis of Entrance Examination conducted by the institute itself. For other PG courses selection is done on the basis of qualifying examination NEET PG.

Candidates need to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to be selected for the MBBS course at CMR Institute of Medical Sciences. The basic eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have a passed in Class 12 with a minimum of 50% in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidates also need to qualify for the NEET exam.

The expected cutoff for the NEET MBBS program at JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research ranges from 166380 to 166400th rank for the General category of students. It ranges from 19040 to 19050th rank for the OBC category of students. For admission to the MBBS and BDS courses, candidates applying should have done HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and minimum 50% marks.

Candidate must qualify NEET UG with a decent scorevand must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects for General category and 40% marks for Reserved category.
