Yes, one may sit for the NEET at the age of 40 too because there is no particular restriction in terms of a maximum age for the candidates applying for the same. For such admission, first, ensure all qualification criteria are met because most eligibility criteria are attached for having 10+2 degrees with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the principal subject. You must login into the official NEET website to register and fill the application form. Study from the syllabus well before the exam and enroll yourself in coaching classes or join some study groups if you require help. After completing your registration, pay the application fee and download your admit card. Then, appear for your exam on the date specified. Compare your results, and based on your scores, prepare yourself for counseling. 

It would be difficult for someone to secure an admission seat at Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi Government Ayurved College for BAMS with a NEET score of 43.51%ile, OBC rank of 581,435, and an All India rank of 1,311,042. Because cut-off ranks are generally much lower for government colleges, they are for BAMS programs, which tend to be much sought after.

However, the chances were much better if you belonged to a particular state or category having some reservation. So, watch out for that state-wise cutoff and counseling processes since some states have less required cut-off leaving their students with admission possibilities.

Alternatively, check out more Ayurvedic colleges or go for management quota options, if there are any.

Getting admission to the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital (IMS and SUM) for MBBS with a mere score of 300 marks in NEET would be quite difficult considering the general cut-off marks for admission to medical colleges are usually much higher than that. Of course, the exact cut-off varies depending on the number of applicants and category-wise reservations.

Thus, if you belong to a reserved category (for example, OBC, SC/ST), you would be granted better odds in such an instance. Check out the previous year's trends in cut-offs or directly contact the admission office of IMS and SUM for further details to get accurate information.
