Yes, for the first year, it is compulsory for Indian students to stay at the Orenburg State Medical University Campus. After the first year, students can shift to other private accommodation options available locally. The hostel fee for students is usually included in the tuition fee of the university. The hostel fee for Orenburg State Medical University is around INR 50,000 - INR 60,000 per year.

With a rank of 1 Lacs (All India Rank) and 478 marks under the OBC category, getting a seat in a regular pure government MBBS college through Rajasthan State Quota is unlikely, as standard government college closing ranks for OBC generally close well under 25,000–30,000. However, you may explore management or government-quota seats in newer or semi-government (RajMES / Private) medical institutions during later rounds.

Yes, students from other states are eligible to apply under the All India Quota (15%) in Rajasthan's government medical colleges. The remaining 85% of seats are reserved for state quota students as per NEET counselling norms. This gives outside-state students a genuine, though more competitive, pathway into Rajasthan's top government colleges. It's worth checking AIQ-specific cutoffs separately from state quota cutoffs.

To secure a government MBBS seat in Rajasthan, general category candidates generally need an All India Rank (AIR) under 26,000 to 30,000 for state quota seats, while top-tier colleges like SMS Jaipur require an AIR under 1,000 to 3,000. Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST) can secure government seats at significantly lower closing ranks, extending past 50,000 to 70,000+ depending on the specific round and category.

Graduates from Karnataka's medical colleges go on to build careers as doctors, surgeons, cardiologists, and dentists, among other specialisations. Many pursue further PG studies at institutes like NIMHANS for specialised fields like neurosciences. The state's strong hospital network also offers ample internship and residency opportunities. This makes Karnataka a solid launching pad for a long-term medical career.
