The majority of BPT colleges in Ahmedabad currently admit students on a merit basis. However, NEET will be an important factor in BPT admission across India from 2026-27. A big change that students ought to keep in mind while making plans.

Hi.

No, NEET is not required for every paramedical course in Delhi. It depends on the specific course and college.

For example, AIIMS New Delhi's B.Sc. Allied & Health Care (formerly B.Sc. Paramedical) courses use an AIIMS entrance examination, rather than NEET-UG. The 2025 admission process required candidates to appear in the AIIMS B.Sc. Allied & Health Care entrance exam.

Generally

  • DMLT / Medical Lab Technician → Usually NEET not required
  • X-Ray / Radiology Technician → Usually NEET not required
  • Operation Theatre Technology → Usually NEET not required
  • Dialysis Technology → Usually NEET not required
  • B.Sc. Allied Health/Paramedical →

No, NEET is not compulsory for BSc Nursing admission anywhere in India. This exam is only required for MBBS and BDS courses. Most nursing colleges in Indore admit students based on merit in Class 12 Science subjects. Some colleges may conduct their own entrance test instead. This makes nursing a good option for students who didn't clear NEET. It opens up healthcare careers without the NEET requirement.

No, NEET is generally not compulsory for BPT admission in Maharashtra, including Nagpur. Most colleges base admission on 12th marks in PCB subjects with a minimum aggregate of 50% is usually required to be eligible. Some colleges may conduct their own entrance test or merit-based selection. This makes BPT admission comparatively easier than MBBS or BDS.

The minimum marks required for MBBS in Georgia in private institutes like the University of Georgia, Tbilisi, range from 135-147 for general category admission applications. For reserved categories, a minimum of 40 percentile of around 100-120 marks are minimum requirement. These are the NEET qualification minimum scores.

For Indian students who wish to study in Georgia, a qualified NEET exam scorecard is required for admission. The University of Georgia also requires the scorecard for admission application in the MD/MBBS programme for undergraduate students' admissions. For those Indian students who wish to practice medicine in India after graduation need to qualify for NEET to be eligible to give the FMGE license exam in India. The NMC requires a valid NEET score to allow practising medicine in India.
