Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala offers admission to its BSc programmes on a merit-basis. Hence, the aspirants scores in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12 are taken into consideration. Admission to MG University is based on cut offs. Candidates who appear for MGU CAT have to meet minimum cut off score for their course group to be selected for counselling. Process is conducted in online mode. Candidates who meet selection criteria for their course have to apply and submit documents for admission.

Admission to this PG-level course is through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). For selection, candidates have to take the MGU CAT exam, which is conducted in-house. Based on the candidates' score in the entrance examination, a selection list is released by the university.
