MEd syllabus for English/Hindi/Malayalam/Sanskrit/Arabic/Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Commerce/Computer Education include subjects studied in undergraduate course. To crack MGU CAT for MEd, candidates must ensure they are thorough with the subjects studied in graduation. Doing topic wise revision is suggested.

MA Politics & International Relations/Politics & Human Rights/Public Policy & Governance, MA Economics, MA Malayalam, MA in English, MA Gandhian Studies/Development Studies and MA History and Anthropology syllabus include subjects studied in undergraduate course. To clear MGU CAT, candidates must revise all the topics of their bachelor’s degree course.

Syllabus of MGU CAT MSc (Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Biophysics/Microbiology), MSc in Chemistry, MSc in Computer Science, MSc in Physics, MSc in Psychology, MSc in Environment Science and Disaster Management includes subjects studied in undergraduate course. Those applying for these courses need to prepare the subjects of their UG course for clearing MGU CAT.

For admission to M.Tech programme offered by MG University, candidates must have valid GATE score. They must have passed GATE exam in same academic year. Such candidates are not required to appear in MGU CAT exam and can directly seek admission by participating in the GD/PI round.

The MBA entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University’s MBA courses are CAT, CMAT and KMAT. Candidates must have passed any one of these exams in the same academic year. They are not required to appear for MGU CAT and can directly participate in the personal assessment round – GD and PI.

After the MGU CAT exam is conducted and the result is announced, the university conducts a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) which includes PI or GD-PI. CAT qualifying candidates have to participate and clear the GD/PI round for their respective courses to be selected for admission. Thereafter the final merit list is prepared based on candidates’ overall performance. 

The minimum marks required to apply for MGU CAT exam varies between 50 to 60 per cent aggregate in graduation. For each course, the minimum score criteria is different.

MBA/PGDM, MSc, LLM, MA (Politics & International Relations/Politics & Human Rights/Public Policy & Governance), the minimum score requirement is 50 percent.

For MA Economics, MA in Malayalam, MA in English, MA (Gandhian Studies/Development Studies), MA (History and Anthropology) and M.Ed, the minimum score requirement is 45 percent.
