M.Tech Entrance Exam

The CUSAT DAT 2024 for M.Tech programs was scheduled for July 3, 2024, at the Software Engineering block, School of Engineering, CUSAT. The exam took place at different times depending on the specialization: 10 AM - 12 PM, 12 PM - 2 PM (Cyber Security), 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM, and 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM (Business Analytics and Intelligence). Candidates could apply from January 27 to May 31, 2024, via the official website.

In the CUSAT DAT exam, candidates will earn 3 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. This marking scheme rewards accuracy and penalizes guessing, encouraging candidates to answer carefully.

There are two stages to be selected through CUSAT DAT, which are:

Written Test: This is the first stage of the selection process, where candidates will have to answer multiple choice questions.
Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify the written test will be shortlisted for the personal interview stage.
Both stages are crucial in the selection process, and candidates must prepare well for both to increase their chances of admission to M.Tech courses at CUSAT.

For admission to M.Tech programme offered by MG University, candidates must have valid GATE score. They must have passed GATE exam in the same academic year. Such candidates are not required to appear in MGU CAT exam and can directly seek admission by participating in the GD/PI round.
