Hello there,
Your rank is low but do not loose hope as there is always a way. I would suggest you to go with what you think you can do like if you think you are passionate about engineering then you may go for a drop and prepare again with all your efforts and if you think that you gave your100% this time then you may join any private colleges which are there like VIT, BITS, SRM, JECRC,etc. and complete your engineering.

I want to clarify that MNIT is a govt college & your possibility of getting admission here is next to impossible due to fewer marks in 12th standard. Admission here is granted by JEE mains rank, which is decided by both- marks in JEE mains & percentage in 12th Standard.

The facilities are average not very good I would say. The rooms are spacious with one chair, table and bed. Also I would suggest that you stay in hostel as it benefits you in doing your studies as well as you are updated with the current events going on in the college.

First of all thank you for asking such a nice question. Now to answer you the scope and future in Mechanical engineering is quite great as there are immense opportunities in this field. Let me tell you that mechanical engineers are needed everywhere as everywhere manufacturing is required and even in now a days of hightech robots even they need mechanical systems to build their infrastructure. I will personally advise you that if you really want to give a second try and if you were unable to give 100% of your efforts then you should definitely go for a drop. I myself have dropped 2 years and now I am in final year. I faced no difficulties till now. So its completely on your will, take some time to think and then decide. Best of luck for future.
