Hello,
I would say that ranking wise MNNIT comes above MNIT but when mechanical engineering is compared then definitely I would say that MNIT is better as here we have different core companies coming like TATA MOTORS, M&M, BRAHMOS AEROSPACE, BPCL, HPCL, etc. Also, we have in our college very experienced faculty with different mechanical engineering societies like SAE BAJA, CAE Society, which help the students in not only learning what is engineering, but also be in constant coherence with the latest trends and technologies in current industry.

Your information is incomplete. You didn't mention your home state. However, considering that you have got this rank in JEE Main - you are good to get any top branch in your state's NIT. Consider going for EEE or CSE branches. If you like building things, go for Mechanical Engineering - it is a great branch as well. All the best.

For MBA you need to have a valid CAT scorecard. Without that you can not apply.

Hello there,
I can clearly see what you are asking. If this is your JEE mains rank then you can surely get MNIT with Chemical or Metallurgy branch. If it is not and it is your state rank then I am afraid that you may not get any government college but still you can get a lot of good private colleges which are there in West Bengal

You are on the borderline. You may get civil in Mnit. Exact prediction is quite difficult. So hope for the best.
