Animation is a part of Multimedia field. In creative world of Multimedia & Animation, what matters is your artistic skills on paper & its expression in digital medium. All that is required an open mind and ability to learn fast.
Digital Media and Animation related programs are offered by lot of Government Colleges and Autonomous Institutes & Universities. However it is more of a skill oriented field where proficiency is more important then qualification.

Please ignore the difference in names at this juncture, since the graduation level degree more or less have similar contents, with a little extra focus on the subject named i.e. VFX, Multimedia or Animation.
