The National Institute of Design (NID) in Bangalore requires a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in any area, or a Diploma in design under the 10+2+4 system, as eligibility requirements for its Master of Design (M.Des) program. Candidates who have completed a two-year bridge course and have a 10+2+5 system are also qualified. As of July 1 of the admission year, the maximum age limit for Indian nationals is thirty years; candidates who are OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD are eligible for a three-year age exemption. The National Institute of Design, Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) results are accepted by NID Bangalore for M.Des programme admission. The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) or National Entrance Test (NET), both administered by NID, must have been taken by candidates. The minimum cumulative score required for admission to NID Bangalore in 2024 is 60% in 10+2 or a comparable programme. The NID DAT 2024 exam is set to take place on December 24, 2023. The provisional offer letters for B.Des admission will be released on June 13, 2024, and the final results for M.Des admission will be announced on April 30, 2024.

The fee schedules for NID Bangalore and IIT Guwahati are not well-explained in the search results. It is clear, nevertheless, that NID Bangalore costs more on average than NIFT Bangalore. Although they aren't stated clearly in the search results, NIFT Bangalore's annual tuition costs are probably less than NID Bangalore's. The fee structures of NID Bangalore and IIT Guwahati are not directly compared in the search results. It is advised to visit the official websites of both schools or get in touch with the admissions offices of each to obtain comprehensive information on the cost schedules in order to obtain a more accurate comparison

We will have our representatives at the DAT Prelims exam centre.
The exam analysis will cover the following elements:
- The sectional and overall difficulty level
- Difficulty of the exam compared to previous editions

- Whether there were any problems faced by candidates during the exam.
- Were questions asked from or outside the official syllabus.

The NID DAT 2025 exam will be conducted in an OMR-based (offline mode). Note that exam officials will not provide any stationery inside the exam hall.
So, you need to bring the following items with you: A blue/black ball-point pen (for filling the OMR sheet), scissor, glue stick, lead pencil (of varying grades), colors (such as oil pastels/color pencils/sketch pens, etc.) eraser, sharpeners, ruler etc. for the purpose of examination.
If any of you are wondering, exam offials will also not arrange for refreshments for the candidates.
