Unfortunately, no. NID Bangalore MDes admission are strictly entrance-based. Candidates need to appear for NID DAT to secure admission at NID Bangalore.

The NID DAT is conducted in two stages and they are:

  • DAT Prelims
  • DAT Mains

Interested candidates must begin the admission process by applying for NID DAT prelims. The application process is conducted online on the official website of NID. Aspirants can apply for maximum two disciplines.

NID Bangalore and NID Ahmedabad cannot really be compared because NID Bangalore is the extended campus of NID Ahmedabad and the institutes have a common admission process and a centralised placement cell.

NID Ahmedabad offers BDes and MDes, on the other hand NID Bangalore only offers an MDes.

Both the institutes offers different MDes specialisations, therefore the choice of institute will majorly depend on the specialisation selection of a candidate. For instance, if an aspirant wish to pursue MDes with specialisation in Digital Game Design, he/she will have to take admission at the Bangalore campus because the NID Ahmedabad does not off

An essential assessment tool for determining an applicant's level of creativity, problem-solving, design thinking, and visual communication is the DAT. Exam content is divided into two sections:

  1. The timed multiple-choice DAT Prelims
  2. The written and practical DAT Mains, which include tasks involving drawing, modeling, and visualization.

Entry into NID Jorhat is through a multi-phase process. Candidates take part in DAT Prelims after registering online, and those who pass

No, you cannot enrol directly in NID Vijayawada or the National Institute of Design in Andhra Pradesh. NID Vijayawada admits students through a two-stage admission test procedure. The first step is the national exam administered by NID, called the Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The interview and design portfolio constitute the second phase.

You must have received at least a 50% grade in your class 12 Diploma from an accredited board in order to be eligible for the DAT. Any of the three NID Vijaywada-offered disciplines—industrial design, textile and apparel design, and communication design—may be applied for the DAT.

You will be placed
