The studio test and personal interview for M.Des DAT Mains are conducted on the same and in some cases different days. Therefore the candidate has to consult their DAT Mains admit to confirm their studio test and interview schedule.

The National Institite of Design (NID) will release the answer sheets of the candidate after the declaration of the FINAL results. Further, the answer sheets will only be available on request, only after the admission process is complete.
The answer sheet is not be issued during the admission process.
To request the answer sheet for the admission cycle 2026 the candidate has to make a payment of INR 1000 online/ per exam. The candidate will also have to furnish the NID DAT 2026 admit card duly signed by the invigilator and seal of the exam center with the request.

National Institute of Design (NID) Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh offers 1 Course in 3 streams. The courses are, B.Des. in Communication Design, B.Des. in Industrial Design, and B.Des. in Textile and Apparel Design. Admission is given to 75 students only.
Admission is based on the design aptitude test, a national entrance test for admissions, conducted by the institute.
The eligibility is that a candidate must have cleared class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board.

The National Institute of Design (NID) Vijayawada accepts 75 students per year for its B.Des program. The B.Des programme is a four-year course offered in three specializations. The first two semesters are a Design Foundation Programme, followed by six semesters of study.
Candidates must meet the requirements established by the institute to be considered for admission. Students who have passed 10+2 in any stream can apply for admission to the B.Des course at NID Vijayawada.

To join the National Institute of Design (NID) Kurukshetra, candidates must complete the admission process. This process includes:
- The NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT)
- Portfolio submission
- An interview
The DAT is a national-level exam that takes place annually. The application process is mostly online.
The DAT is a two-stage exam. Candidates must first take the DAT Prelims, and if they are shortlisted, they must take the DAT Mains. The final merit list for admission is based on both the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.
