The basic eligibility criteria that students must fulfil to avail Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students are given below:

  • The applicant must be above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class 12 or equivalent.
  • The applicant must be pursuing regular degree courses and not correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma courses.

NID Ahmedabad does not offer scholarships of its own. However, students of NID Ahmedabad can avail of various scholarships provided by the state and central government. Some of the popular scholarships are the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students, the Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially-Abled Students (Degree), Post Graduate Scholarship for Single Girl Child, the Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region, and many more.

NID Ahmedabad is India's best NID campus. NID Ahmedabad was founded in 1961 and is one of the country's major fashion institutes. To gain admission to the college, students must take the NID entrance exam. The institute provides both undergraduate and graduate programs.

So, National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad for M.Des  is better than NID, Bangaluru .

No, the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score is not considered for the NID entrance test. For entry into BArch programs at various Indian architectural colleges, applicants must pass the NATA aptitude test. Only DAT scores are accepted by NID Bengaluru for admission to the MDes program.

No, you can not take direct admission at National Institute of Design, Bengaluru.

For admission, A candidate must have taken both the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains to be eligible for admission. According to each category's DAT Prelims scores, a merit list is created. Candidates are invited to the DAT Mains based on that merit list. Studio exam and interview are both part of DAT Mains.

The National Institute of Design Bengaluru was established in March 2006 as an initiative of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The National Institute Design Act of 2014 recognized it as an "Institute of National Importance" and it is known as the R&D campus of NID.
