Since the INI-CET is the main entrance exam for postgraduate and doctorate programs at NIMHANS, you are not eligible to apply if you did not take it. However, NIMHANS normally requires a separate entrance exam administered by the institute itself in order to admit students to B.Sc. degrees like nursing or anaesthesia technology. Candidates are chosen for the B.Sc Nursing programme based on their performance on the NIMHANS admission exam and their fulfilment of the eligibility requirements which include finishing the 12th grade with English, physics, chemistry and biology. At present, the institution does not offer any MD course in Manasa Roga (Psychiatry). However, like all the other medical and clinical departments in NIMHANS, it offers an entire suite of postgraduate courses, including MD in Psychiatry. This is an excellent place to consider for those interested in pursuing psychiatry with specific aspects of mental health or other such areas.
You would have to apply through the INI CET exam for admission. The procedure includes eligibility checks and document submission.

NIMHANS Bangalore releases INICET cutoffs for admission to MD, M.Ch. DM programs. As per the NIMHANS Bangalore INICET cutoff 2024, the cutoff for the core courses spanned from 19 to 617 for the General AI category candidates. The most competitive course under the same category is M.Ch. in Neuro Surgery at the lowest cutoff rank of 19. Moreover, MD in Psychiatry had the highest cutoff ranks at NIMHANS Banglore in 2024.

Candidates must have passed BSc with a minimum 50% aggregate from any recognised university in order to be eligible for admission. The last cutoff for the B.Sc. BSc Nursing admissions in NIMHANS are conducted every year. Please check NIMHANS website and contact the admissions office for accurate information! It generally asks for qualifying examination as well and is based on Merit followed by an entrance exam. Cutoffs used to be determined by academic performance and entrance test scores in previous seasons. The INI CET 2025 cutoff for the January session has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing rank for M.Ch. in Neuro Surgery stood at 65 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences, popularly known as NIMHANS is an autonomous university located in Bangalore city. As per the information available in the official website of this college, only 11 seats are there for B. Sc in radiology. Around two admission exams per year are normally held by the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) for many courses, including Diploma UG courses. The entrance tests are typically planned for the academic year 2024 as follows:
