The duplicate transaction amount will be refunded to your account. You must submit a formal application along with both payment receipts, bank statements showing the deductions, and your account details to the Faculty I/C (Accounts) or Academic Section of NIT Silchar. The institute verifies the transaction ledger with State Bank of India (SBI Collect) before processing the reversal. The settlement process typically takes 15 to 30 working days.

No. All payment gateway charges, transaction processing surcharges, or Goods and Services Tax (GST) levied by the banking partner (such as SBI Collect) are strictly non-refundable. These fees are collected directly by the banking service provider for transaction execution and are not received by the NIT Silchar treasury.

Yes, a student from outside the North-East can qualify for the Bharti Infratel Scholarship Program (BISP) at NIT Silchar. The programme reserves 10% of the total benefits for students from other states enrolled in Institutes of National Importance in the region.
