Hi,
As you are interested in Mechanical engineering as well as computer Science engineering. Then, NIT Rourkela is the best option. NIT Rourkela has good opportunity for both mechanical engineering as well as computer Science engineering. But, it depends on your interest that which branch you choose. Both the branch has equal importance and holds equally best placement records. Core companies like Tata steel, Vedanta, Tata motors, Maruti - Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra and many more visit our campus every year and recruit meritorious students as Graduate engineer Trainees. It solely depends on you in which field you want to pursue your career. If you are interested for Food processing and want to discover the technology beyond it, you should opt for Food processing in NIT Rourkela. Hi,
When its about B.tech in any stream NIT Rourkela comes out to be the best.When you say about Ceramic Engineering in NIT Rourkela and look upon the past records , you would not be much satisfied. But with the changing scenario, Ceramic engineering is doing pretty well and its demand is also increasing day by day.

Hi,
Congrats for your good rank. According to past records, the cut-off for mechanical engineering in NIT Rourkela is around 14000 to 15000. So, yes, there is more chance of getting mechanical engineering branch which you have chosen. You have the caliber as well as the rank which is mostly needed. So you can easily get admission easily into the college. NIRF ranking 2018 has figured NIT Rourkela at 15th position in Engineering category and 42nd position in Overall against last year's Overall position at 46th. For admission in nit rourkela atleast you need 180 marks if you belongs to general obc and 130 marks if you belongs to sc st category.

Hi, It's going to be difficult to find a fully funded Masters programme. You can check the DAAD scholarship for Indian students, they are merit-based and mostly funded in principle of research, only a few Masters programmes can be eligible. See if you can apply for MS/Ph.D programmes which in some cases may be atleast partially funded.
