NIT-Rourkela has been ranked at 12th position by NIRF rankings. Chemical Engineering is very good academic wise in NIT Rourkela. Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of NIT Rourkela. It has some of the best faculty members and infrastructure on campus. The department recently underwent a massive renovation and up-gradation providing it with infrastructure and logistics at par with international establishments. Placements are similar to other branches of NIT Rourkela. NIT-Rourkela is one of the best institute all over India and abroad. The NIRF ranking states, NIT-Rourkela to be in class 12th rank. Itis one of the best choice you have. Because, the placement scenario in Mining engineering, it is very good compared to other branches. Lots of companies come for placement, and now even some companies are offering Pre placement Offers. And, lot more. I think there is not a Mining company in the Country which don't come to NITR. So, you got a lots of choices. And training in Mining fields will also be given to you. Because, the real knowledge is in Mines in the field, not in the book. The opening rank for getting admission in NITR in mining engineering for SC candidates is 1848 and closing rank is 4817, for other states. And, for home state the opening rank is 3467 and closing rank is 6308. So, it may be a bit difficult for getting admission, if you do not belong to home state, but do not loose hope, if your luck favors, you can definitely get admission in NITR.
