Yes, since Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi recognises the National Defence Academy for awarding B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Computer Science) degrees to Army Cadets and B Tech degrees to Navy and Air Force Cadets. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), located in New Delhi, has acknowledged the NDA since 1973.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has additionally accredited NDA for the delivery of B.Tech. programmes in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, and Applied Electronics and Communication. At the moment, NDA only offers the B Tech (AEC) programme. Mechanical engineering will start in accordance with the Indian Air Force and Navy's needs.
