The basic difference between provisional answer key and the final answer key is its release timing. The provisional answer key is usually released right after exam within 10-15 days. The final answer key is released along with the result. Candidates can raise objection against the provisional answer key while the final one can't be challenged. It must be noted the official answer key for NEET PG is not released by the exam conducting body.

Candidates can use the NEET PG answer key released by recognised institutes to predict the total marks in the exam. To calculate marks, candidates will have to count the total number of correct, incorrect responses and then calculate the score through the marking scheme. It must be noted, candidates get +4 mark for each right answer while for every wrong answer candidates get -1. Substract the total score out of negative marking from the marks out of correct answers.

Yes, the unofficial answer key is reliable as it is prepared by an expert panel of coaching institutes. Having said that, the unofficial answer key may not be 100% correct as it is prepared on the basis of memory based questions asked from exam taking candidates. Candidates must note NBE doesn't release the official answer key for the exam. NEET PG answer key helps candidates to predict a tentative score with the help of marking scheme.
