NCERT will definitely give you a good foundation for the preparation but I would not say that, only NCERT Is sufficient enough for preparations. NEET is a multiple choice questions type examination. So, you definitely have to go through many multiple choice type question banks and furthermore you should definitely go through some good books for strengthening your preparations. All the best !

Working towards achieving your dream is never a bad idea, but one should always be passionate and whole heartedly involved in the process to achieve what he wants. So, I would recommend that if you are ambitious enough and you think you can crack the entrance by preparing a year more then definitely it's a good decision to drop.
All the best!

See, to be clear you can't manage both B.Sc and NEET together.
There is a saying that do not put each foot on different boats. So I suggest that do not mess up with 2 different courses. Just be clear about what is your goal, it is either B.Sc or getting MBBS through NEET. But remember one thing, you should be confident about what you want to choose. Your goal should be clear.

They are good in medical, but faculty quality is not good in all the branch. Resonance: for JEE Main & Advanced resonance is good, but their Kolkata branch faculty quality is too poor. Study material is good.

Under no category of reservation, you can get into MBBS course in India with such a low score. So, definitely, you should try another time only if you are passionate to get into MBBS. Otherwise, moving on into any other course would be good.

Like any other entrance exam, NEET is indeed a tough nut to crack. But, there is also no question that students are scoring very high marks in the exam, each year. So, undoubtedly, NEET can be cracked, provided one works hard, and has a good exam strategy. So, NEET is difficult, but not impossible to crack.

Read textbooks efficiently and take good notes. Try to just not read the textbook, but read it effectively. Don't just study; learn. Pace Yourself. Study multiple subjects each day. Focus on the process, not the outcome. Test yourself.
