The Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) for admission for NEST 2024 exam is 95 percentile for the General category, 90 percentile for the OBC category and 75 percentile for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan (PwD).

Candidates are typically expected to report at the exam center 90 minutes before the exam starts.
So, if the NEST exam starts at 9:00 AM, the reporting time would likely be around 7:30 AM. This allows enough time for checking IDs, document verification, frisking, and seat allocation.
It's important to confirm the reporting time on your admit card when you receive it for the future NEST exam. The admit card will have all the specific details about your exam venue, timings, and reporting instructions.

No, there is no sectional weightage in the NEST 2024 exam. All four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics) carry equal weightage of 50 marks each.
This means your performance in each section contributes equally to your total score. There's no specific section that holds more weight in the final outcome.
Here's a summary of the NEST 2024 exam structure:
- Number of sections: 4 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics)
- Marks per section: 50
- Total marks: 200
- Sectional weightage: None (all sections are equally weighted)
