Hello Husensab,
There are some criteria in education field, if you are done with your Master's degree, then surely you are eligible for work as assistant professor in some private colleges. But, when you are clear competitive exams like NET/SLET, you are eligible to work as an assistant professor in private and Government College, depends upon it's vacancy and work experience. After clearing NET with some years of work experience, you are eligible for assistant professor in government colleges. Ph.D is mandatory for professor level. All the Best for your future.

UGC NET Exam is conducted for the Lectureship and Research programme whereas he exam is conducted every year in the month of June and December month. You can prepare for this exam but the eligibility to appear in this exam is completing Post graduation in any subject with atleast 55 % marks. (50% marks for the reserved candidates). The candidates in the final year/sem can appear in the National Eligibility test-https://www.eduncle.com/cbse-ugc-net-exam if they are waiting for the results to be announced. There is no age limit to appear in the UGC NET Exam.

Yes, you can apply for the NET exam if you complete the post-graduation within 2 years of qualifying the NET exam. The NET Exam is held to determine candidates for assistant professor posts in colleges and university and for junior research fellowship awards. UGC NET exam is held for the arts, commerce and other stream candidates while CSIR NET exam is held for the Science stream students for the same purpose. The minimum eligibility to apply for the NET Exam is post-graduation degree for the recognised university with more than 55% marks. The eligibility to apply for the NET exam is that candidates must have completed the post-graduation degree from the recognized university with more than 55% marks. For NET lectureship there is no age limit criteria. For NET JRF the age of the candidates must be below 30 years. JB, Yes, you are eligible for CSIR UGC NET under earth Science subject. CSIR will hold the UGC NET for Junior Research Fellowship and/or Assistant Lectureship. The exam is conducted for Life Science, Earth Science, Mathematical Science, Chemical Science, and Physical Science. The eligibility criteria for the same is as under :-

To be eligible for NET exam, you should complete Masters degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (5% relaxation available for other than general category). Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET exam if your Diploma/degree/certificate from a foreign university is equivalent to a Master's degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
