The Pharmaceutics specialized can apply for the NET Exam. The UGC NET exam is conducted more than 90 subjects for different category candidates. As per the UGC norms, the candidates can apply for their post-graduation degree subjects or its related subjects only. Hello,
The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the students aspiring to make career in the lectureship and Research programme. You are eligible to appear in the UGC NET Exam by completing the post graduation in Pharmacy. There are some eligibility criteria for this. You must complete the Masters with atleast 55 % marks (50% marks for the Reserved CAT. Candidates). Hello Saurabh,
As per the official guideline, the candidates can apply for the subject of their post-graduation and it's related subjects only. The Science stream candidates can apply for the CSIR NET for five subjects while other stream candidate candidates can apply for the UGC NET for one of the 85 subjects. Both the UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held for the same purpose that is to determine the eligibility for assistant professor posts in the universities or colleges and for the junior research fellowship award.

You can apply for UGC NET, if you have scored more than 55% marks in the final exams. There are 5% reservation for the reserved category candidates. The candidates need to fulfill the age limit criteria if applying for the NET JRF. There is no age limit for the lectureship. If you have score the required percentage, then you can apply for the exam. All the best.

Those students who completed the Masters or Post graduation in a particular subject, there are some eligibility criteria. You need 55% marks in the post-graduation to appear in the National Eligibility test. Whereas, the candidates from the reserved category needs 50% marks. There is no age limit to appear in the National Eligibility test, but to avail the JRF Fellowship, the age limit is 30 years (35 years for the Female and Reserved category candidates.)

Hello Praveen,
The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the determination of the candidates for assistant professor posts in university and for junior research fellowship award in research. It is a national level exam for which you must have the deep knowledge of the subject. You can find the previous year papers at the official website of NTA. This year NTA is going to conduct the NET exam from 9 to 23 December 2018. There are various websites which provide the sample question papers and mock tests. Hello, No you are not eligible for the NET exam. For more details you must check the eligibility criteria.A good score in NET will make you eligible for teaching jobs in universities. Maximum age limit for NET is 28 for general catergory and 5 yrs relazation for reserved categories.All the best. If you found this helpful do give an upvote :).
