The exam pattern for the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board Indian Council Agricultural Research National Eligibility Test (ASRB ICAR NET) is provided along with the notification PDF. The exam pattern for ASRB ICAR NET is given below
- The exam involves only one paper
- The exam carries 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 150 marks
- Candidates are allotted two hours
- Each question carries one mark and there is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks
- There is no rounding off of fractions of marks

To ascertain a candidate's eligibility for a lecturer or assistant professor position at a State Agricultural University (SAU) or another Agricultural University (AU), the Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) conducts the ASRB NET, also known as the Indian Council of Agriculture Research NET. Those having master's degrees and related academic backgrounds can take this exam to be considered for several discipline roles. This test is qualifying in nature; it gives candidates access to apply for positions that various agricultural universities have open.

The ASRB ICAR NET (Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board Indian Council of Agricultural Research National Eligibility Test) application form was released on April 22, 2025. The candidates could apply on the website. The candidates need to pay the application fees according to their category. The last date to fill the application form was June 5, 2025.

Hi.Yes you are, eligible for the NET exam if you had done post graduation from distance, i.e Masters in political Science.
Candidate must have completed a Master's degree or equivalent from a recognised university with at least 55% marks for the General category and 50% for reserved categories.
