No, the CSIR NET City Slip is not the same as that of the admit card. The city slip only provides the details about the exam city, and on the other hand admit card contains the details of the exact examination centre address, timings, and other important details.

The CSIR NET City Intimation Slip is a document that consists of information about where the examination will be conducted. It will be released in the form of a PDF on the official website. The main purpose of the advance city intimation slip is to make candidates know about their examination centre in advance so that they can plan their travel and accommodation arrangements in advance for the examination. It is to be noted that it does not reveal the exact address of the examination centre.

Considering you are pursuing PhD and need to prepare for the TNPSC (Tamilnadu Public Service Commission) group 2 exam in the forthcoming year. You just have 1 year to prepare from now, so by managing time after PhD work, is essential to crack this exam as it covers a huge chunk of syllabus for the  prelims, Mains and interview which requires considerable time and consistent efforts. So by planning and  step by step syllabus completion would help.I would rather recommend you to buy an online batch to proceed in the preperation.

Hope this will be helpful.

The NET exam does not accept candidates who have finished their PGDCA programme from PRSU or any other institution. Before applying for the National Eligibility Test (NET) candidates need to hold a master's degree in M.Sc., MA and M.Com and equivalent fields and achieve at least 55% marks with 50% being the minimum for candidates from reserved categories. The Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) functions as a Diploma whereas it does not fulfill the criteria for holding a master's degree. To take the NET examination candidates need to hold MCA or equivalent degree in any field of study.
