Admission in NSIT is based on your rank in the JEE Mains. This rank is calculated by taking into account your performance in both the JEE Mains exam and the boards. The marks in JEE mains have 60% weightage while the boards account for the remaining 40%. The score in boards is normalised and then taken into account.
The cutoff for computer engineering in NSIT is different for different categories. While the outside Delhi general category students need to get a rank around 2000 for admission, Delhiites(general) need a rank of about 5000.

No not at all. This is not possible. Giving the JEE mains exam is mandatory since it is the sole criteria on which admission to NSIT is based.

I didn't really understand what you meant by direct but if you meant without giving the exam then no that is not possible.

Mechanical is a new branch which has been introduced this year only.so its not that well established, hence this year its cutoff went up till 22k for delhi students and around 8-10 k for outside delhi students.if u are a delhi student with around 93% in cbsethan u should tryand score around 190-200 and if u r outside delhi try to score 220-230. best of luck for your exams.
