New York Institute of Technology offers academic scholarships to international students that may cover partial tuition. As such, there is no separate application for scholarships. When the applicants submit their application and supporting documents, the Admissions Committee at NYIT will review the file of the applicants for admission and scholarship eligibility. The value of the NYIT first-year scholarships varies as per the GPA of students. International graduate students are eligible for the Graduate Scholar Award. The value of this scholarship is up to USD 3,000 per year.

Yes, graduates from foreign universities are required to take the GRE and submit the score of the same in order to take admission to NYIT MS in Data Science. Other than this, the entry requirements for NYIT MS in Data Science course are:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute, with a GPA of 2.85 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- As Data Science is an interdisciplinary field, NYIT welcomes students from varied professional backgrounds. However, the applicants must have the following pre-requisites: one Computer Programming course, One college-level Statistics course, Basic Linear Algebra, Basic Database Systems
