The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Mains exam separately for the B. Des and M.Des programs.
The M.Des DAT Mains will be held from March 3 to April 6, 2025. The National Institute of Design will release the detailed program-wise schedule for the Studio Test and Personal Interview on its admission portal.
The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program will be conducted from April 26 to May 4, 2025. The DAT Mains exam for the B. Des program comprises a Studio Test.
Meanwhile, the DAT Mains for the M.Des programme comprises a Studio Test and Interview.

Aadhaar is one of the valid photo id proofs that candidates can produce as identity proof. But exam officials will also accept other government ids like Driving License, Passport, etc. The list of acceptable ids will be mentioned on the NID DAT 2024 admit card. The security personal at the NID DAT exam center will verify the documents before allowing the candidate entry inside the exam center. Any candidate who fails to produce the admit card and id proof will not be allowed to take the DAT Prelims exam.

Aspirants can download NID DAT admit card 2025 from the official website of National Institute of Design (NID) by providing their registered email ID and date of birth. Follow the below-mentioned steps to successfully download NID Entrance Exam hall tickets 2025:

The National Institute of Design (NID) released admit cards for M.Des DAT Mains exam on February 22, 2024 (4 pm). The admit card has been released online at admissions.nid.edu.
To download the admit card, enter your email ID and date of birth in the log-in window.
The M.Des DAT Mains exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted from March 4 to April 4, 2024.
The admit card will contain details like the date and time of the NID DAT 2024 exam, exam centre details, roll number, reporing time, and exam-day guidelines.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will release the admit cards for the B. Des DAT Mains Studio Test on April 14, 2025.
The admit cards will be issued to candidates who qualify DAT Prelims exam.
The candidate has to download the admit card from the NID DAT 2025 admission portal - admissions.nid.edu. In the log-in window that opens, fill in your email id and date of birth.
On the day of the NID DAT 2025 Mains exam, the candidate needs to bring along their admit card and a valid photo id proof. The DAT Mains admit card for the M.Des programme will be released on February 24, 2025.

The NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is a two-step entrance exam. The candidate first appears in DAT Prelims. If shortlisted, the candidate has to next appear in DAT Mains.

Candidates may note that the National Institute of Design (NID) doesn’t release any syllabus for either DAT Prelims or DAT Mains.
However, the institute has released the sample test papers for the NID DAT 2024 exam. The sample papers contain the questions similar to the ones that will be asked in the actual exam.
So, the candidate may download and practice the sample papers to get an idea about the difficulty level, types of questions asked, marking scheme, weightage, and topics covered.

The NID DAT application form 2024 is currently open online at admissions.nid.edu. The National Institute of Design (NID) has also released the admission handbooks for the B.Des and M.Des program.
The admission handbook contains key details pertaining to eligibility criteria, application process, fee, eligibility criteria, reservation, seat matrix, and much more.
So, it is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the NID DAT 2024 admission handbook before filling out the application form.
