The National Institute of Design (NID) will release the provisional offer letter for B.Des candidates for Round I around the 2nd week of June 2025. Prior to that the institute will announce seat allotment results for Round I around the last week of May 2025.
The candidate will have to download the offer letter online from the NID admission portal. The offer letter has to be produced by the candidate when reporting for admission.
Note that the offer letter will only be issued if the candidate has duly paid the seat-acceptance fee and uploaded the relevant documents.

The NID DAT 2026 Exam will be conducted for admission to B. Des and M.Des courses. The NID DAT Mains results for the B. Des program is expected to be in the third week of May, 2026. Meanwhile, DAT Mains results for the M.Des programme will be announced in the first week of May, 2026.
The NID DAT results will be declared online at admissions.nid.edu.To check your results, log-in using your email id and date of birth. Such candidates who qualify in DAT Mains will be shortlisted for counselling and seat allotment.

The details of NID DAT 2026 Exam centre, including name, address, and reporting time will be notified to the candidate through NID DAT 2026 Admit card. DAT Prelims admit card will be available for download from December 11, 2025.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the admission hanbooks for the B.Des and M.Des courses. It contains the list of exam cities for DAT Prelims exam for each course.
As per information given in the M.Des Admission Handbook, the DAT Prelims exam in the following cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada.
The candidate can select their choice of exam city when filling out the NID DAT 2024 application form.

The National Institite of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam for both the B.Des and M.Des programs on December 24, 2024. The admit cards for the two programs will also be released on the same date, i.e. December 12, 2023.
To download the admit card, the candidate needs to go to the NID admission portal - admissions.nid.edu. On the portal, the M.Des DAT Prelims admit card download link will be given.Click on the link, and then log in using your email id and date of birth. On successful login, you can download the admit card.

The National Institite of Design (NID) released admit cards for DAT Prelims exam on December 12, 2023.
The admit card will be issued online at admissions.nid.edu. To download the admit card, click on the admit card link and login by entering your email id and date of birth.
Hard copies of the admit card will not be sent to the candidate.
On exam day, you must bring a photo ID proof in original along with a printout of the admit card. Note that digital copies of the admit card will not be accepted.
The NID DAT 2024 exam will be conducted on December 24, 2023.

NID DAT Prelims 2026 exam will take place in 17 cities in India. Each of these exam cities may have one or more test centres. Candidate will have to select their choice of exam centres for the DAT Prelims exam when filling out the NID DAT 2026 Application form. Candidates must be careful when selecting the exam city, because they will not be allowed to change it after the Application edit window closes.
