The following is the selection process for any course at National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna:-
- Fill the application form from the Institute's official website with all required details such as 12th marks, address etc.
- After filling the application form, students will be called to appear for the NIFT entrance test.
- After the students qualify in the entrance test, they will be called for the final steps like counselling, Interview etc.
- After all the steps and fees deposition, the final admission will be given to the students.

The following is the selection process for B Des at National Institute of fashion technology.
1.The students need to fill the online application form from the Institute's official website with all necessary details like 12th, 10th marks etc.
2.After filling the application form student will be called to qualify for the NIFT test which includes aptitude tests, group discussions etc. after that the students need to wait for the cutoff.
3.If the students qualifies in the cutoff, the NIFT counselling will take place.
4.After counselling, the students will be given the final admission.

Yes, the World University of Design accepts NIFT exam scores. Valid scores of NIFT, NID, D-Art, CEED, and UCEED exams can be considered in lieu of DAT, and those of CET, CAT, MAT, and XAT in lieu of GAT. Candidates with a good NIFT exam score can apply for admission to the university and may be shortlisted based on their performance for the next stages of the admission process, which include a personal interview and the showcasing of creative evidence such as a portfolio, drawings, photographs, or crafts.

The selection process for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) consists of two stages:
Stage 1: Written Entrance Examination
The NIFT entrance exam is a computer-based test that is conducted in two phases:

Going as per the past three year trends candidates can expect the NIFT Exam scores for NIFT Bhopal between the following range:
- B.Des. in Accessory Design must range between 2131 and 2807
- B.Des. in Textile Design must range between 2101 and 3235
- Master of Fashion Management (MFM) must range between 363 and 532
- B.Des in Fashion Design must range between 1671 and 1960
- Master2 in Fashion Communication must range between 1887 and 1893

National Institute of Fashion and Technology (NIFT) has declared written exam results online. Candidates who have applied and appeared for the written exam must login using their credentials on the official website at nift.ac.in.

- Next, click on the Applicant "Sign In" option
- A login window will open
- Enter details including email address and password
- The result of NIFT 2025 would be displayed on screen

In the scenario two or more candidates score the same marks in NIFT, then tie-breaker policy will be applied.
- The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For example, for the B. Des programme, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
- If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered.
- If tie is undecided, then subject-wise marks in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
