No, there is no age limit to apply for NIMCET, according to the NIMCET eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official information brochure of NIMCET. No, you do not need to go beyond what is mentioned in the NIMCET syllabus and pressurise yourself for no reason. The syllabus of NIMCET is extensive, and you should only focus on the topics mentioned there.

Yes, extra sheets are provided to the NIMCET candidates for rough work or calculations. Keep in mind that you would need to submit those rough sheets at the end of the exam to the invigilators.

No, it is not mandatory to attempt all the questions of the NIMCET. If you are not confident of the answer to the question, then we advise you not to attempt it as there is a penalty for every incorrect answer. Ensure that the answers you are giving are correct and you are confident enough about them.

Yes, any Mathematics or Statistics degree at the UG-level will be considered for NIMCET. Students possessing degrees like Discrete Mathematics, Discrete Structures, Business Mathematics, Probability, Statistics for Business Economics, etc., are eligible to apply for the NIMCET.

Yes, there is a provision to challenge the NIMCET answer key. Keep in mind that you can only challenge the provisional answer key with your question and the proof that your answer was correct. There is a fee of Rs. 500 per question within the given timeframe. You CANNOT challenge the final answer key once it is released.

The provisional NIMCET 2026 answer key is expected to release in the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2026. Candidates will be able to check the answer key online from the website nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Students are advised to regularly check the official website for the latest updates. Note that you can check the correct responses to the questions through the NIMCET answer key.
